Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2025
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using MetaViz Hub, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. MetaViz Hub is an independent community project and is not affiliated with Metabase Inc. in any way. See our full disclaimer.
2. The service
MetaViz Hub is a community registry where developers can publish and users can discover custom visualization plugins for Metabase. We do not host plugin files directly — we index metadata and link to public GitHub repositories.
3. Plugin submissions
By submitting a plugin, you confirm that:
- →You are the author or have the rights to publish the plugin
- →The plugin does not contain malicious code, malware, or obfuscated scripts
- →The plugin does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
- →The GitHub repository is and will remain publicly accessible
- →The information provided during submission (description, category, tags) is accurate and up to date
We reserve the right to reject or remove any submission that violates these rules, without notice.
4. Intellectual property
Each plugin remains the intellectual property of its author. By submitting a plugin, you grant MetaViz Hub a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your plugin metadata and preview image on this platform.
The MetaViz Hub name, logo, and platform code are the property of the MetaViz Hub project contributors and may not be reused without permission.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
MetaViz Hub is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that plugins listed on this platform are safe, functional, or maintained. You install any plugin at your own risk. Always review the source code of a plugin before installing it in a production environment.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MetaViz Hub and its contributors shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of this platform or any plugin indexed here, including but not limited to data loss, downtime, or security incidents.
7. User conduct
You agree not to:
- →Submit plugins containing malicious or harmful code
- →Impersonate another author or misrepresent the origin of a plugin
- →Use the platform to spam, abuse, or harass other users
- →Attempt to bypass review processes or gain unauthorized access
8. Account termination
We reserve the right to suspend or remove any account or plugin that violates these terms. Violations may also be reported to GitHub.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. The date at the top of this page reflects the last update. Continued use of MetaViz Hub after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
